It’s beginning to look like there might be something to this Internet thingy. Wednesday, April 3rd a platform named Spreecast will be helping Arthur Kade and myself host and interview Randall Grahm of Bonny Doon Vineyard from his place in Santa Cruz (I think). Here are a couple more links that are worth checking out about Randall’s Wineview… (his 2012 Wine Blogger Speach, my reaction to it) and yet another of my articles from Long Island Pulse.
For those of you that have been living in a wine cave, Randall is the original Rhone Ranger and twitter wine maven of Santa Cruz, California. He has been putting his heart and soul into the wine industry for the past three decades and has the scars to prove it.
Randall’s passion for wine has lead him on a very diverse path, through the Holy Grail of Pinot Noir infatuation that many serious wino’s fall down on and to places and grapes throughout the world. The wealth of knowledge he has gained from this path is vast and opinionated so any interaction with him will be vibrant and a bit controversial. His views on Terroir in California might piss-off a few winemakers and vineyard owners.
This spreecast event will offer viewers the opportunity to ask questions of Randall directly via all manners of social media including via a web-camera. The event will be recorded for future uses as well so that your questions can live on in cyberspace. If you can’t be there leave us a question you’d like asked and Arthur and I will try to bring it up.
We all know alcohol is a wonderful social lubricant and Spreecast is a social event so if you feel like spicing things up a bit grab a bottle of Randall’s wines and loosen up for the event. Here are a couple of Bonny Doon Vineyard suggestions:
2010 Contra (a Carignan based wine supported by Syrah, Grenache, Roussanne, Grenache Blanc and Mourvedre)
2011 Le Cigar Volant Blanc (Grenache Blanc with some Roussanne)
See you April 3rd 6:30pm EST on Spreecast.
