About Chris

Christopher S. Miller has been the sommelier for The 21 Club, The American Hotel (Sag Harbor), consulted as a sommelier for 75 Main (Southampton) and The Stone Creek Inn (East Quogue) as well as beverage director for Jean-Georges at The Topping Rose House (Bridgehampton) and The Maidstone (East Hampton). Trained at the Culinary Institute of America and in Europe, his experiences also include Chef-Owner of a four-star restaurant and Saucier Chef at a four-star hotel in Switzerland. Currently Christopher is an Advanced Sommelier and a Master Sommelier Candidate in the Court of Master Sommeliers program.

As a wine educator, Christopher has held the position of Wine Education Manager for Winebow Inc. and consulted on educational programs for Charmer Industries, Corterra Wines, Martin-Scott Wines and was the Wine Educator and internet content provider for Sherry-Lehmann Wine Merchants and for Park Place Wines and  Hamptons Wine Shoppe.

Christopher is a Director for the The Sommelier Wine Academy, has been on the Board of Directors for the Stony Brook Center for Wine, Food and Culture, writes the from the vine for The Long Island Pulse and was the Senior Wine Writer for Dan’s Papers.

Christopher has developed many tools for educating and learning about the many great wine regions of the world. With the wine world evolving so rapidly it is paramount for wine distributors, suppliers and importers and their employees to be well informed of the laws, trends and cultural changes occurring in each wine region.
